Sandeep Narayan

Sandeep Narayan is a highly acclaimed Carnatic vocalist known for his mesmerizing performances and soulful renditions. With a rich musical lineage and rigorous training under renowned gurus, Sandeep exhibits profound artistry and virtuosity in his music. His unique style blends tradition with innovation, captivating audiences worldwide. Though he was born in Los Angeles, California, Sandeep went against the norms and moved from America to India in 2006, to pursue his dream of being a musician full-time. His reverse migration was a first of its kind for an aspiring artist in Carnatic Music.

In 2019, the Government of India’s Sangeet Natak Akademi awarded Sandeep with the prestigious title, “Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar,” and was named the 2024 “Artiste of the Year” by the Shrinivas Institute of World Musique, in memory of the late mandolin virtuoso, U Shrinivas.

Apart from his successful career as a Carnatic vocalist, Sandeep Narayan is also a dedicated teacher committed to nurturing the next generation of musicians. His passion for sharing the art form shines through in his approach, where he imparts not just technical skills but also the nuances of expression and emotional depth in classical music.
